Watermelon, Creme Fraiche and Sweet Basil Recipe

Watermelon can go from simple to sophisticated in just minutes.  Here’s an appetizer that is easy and delicious to make for any summer soiree.

Ingredients

4 cups ripe watermelon, seeded and large diced, chilled

1/2 cup creme fraiche

1/4 cup sweet basil, chiffonade (sliced into very thing strips)

salt

olive oil for drizzling

How to Make

  1. Divide the watermelon into 12 ramekins or onto small dishes.
  2. Top each with a teaspoon of creme fraiche.
  3. Sprinkle basil, salt and olive oil on top and serve immediately.

Makes 12 appetizers
